1st through 8th

There may be slots available for the current school year in grades 1-7. Please call the school office admissions for details and updated information at (415) 892-8621. Order of preference will be given in the following:  to siblings of current Our Lady of Loretto students, Our Lady of Loretto parishioners, students who attend Our Lady of Loretto School of Religion, out of parish families. Requested materials, such as report cards, questionnaires, standardized testing scores, and immunization records must be submitted to the school office prior to shadow date. Our Lady of Loretto School reserves the right to call the administration and teachers of the school in which the applicant is currently enrolled.

• Minimum “C” grade average in academics 
• Average or better behavior in school
• Current and previous year report cards
• Recent standardized testing scores
• Online application and non-refundable application fee
• Questionnaire completed by current grade level teacher (and mailed or emailed to Our Lady of Loretto School/Admissions)
• IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and/or Test results for learning exceptionalities, if applicable
• Current Immunization Record
• Baptism and/or First Communion Certificates
• Student shadow visits of our school

1st Grade Process

Once the office has received a completed application packet, an appointment time will be scheduled for your child to be assessed. This is an opportunity for the Kindergarten Teacher to observe and assess a child’s cognitive, social, and fine motor skills.

2nd – 8th Grade Process

All requested materials must be on file in the school office prior to setting a shadow date.
 
Class size is capped at 30 students and is on a first-come basis. Math, writing and reading comprehension skills will be assessed through this test.
 

Notification of Acceptance

Within two full work weeks following completion of testing, submission of all requested material and parent/student interview, the applicant’s family will be notified by email of acceptance. 

Call for a school tour and/or pick -up an Application Packet from the school office.
 
To schedule a shadow date, parents must submit:
Completed online application
Original copies of Baptism and/or First Communion Certificates (if applicable)
Current immunization record
Report cards for the current and previous school year
Non-refundable application fee
 
Have your child’s current teacher complete and return the questionnaire to the Our Lady of Loretto School office. The questionnaire should only be mailed by the school and reach our office seven (7) days prior to the scheduled shadow date.

Shadow dates are to be determined. Please be advised that class enrollment fills up quickly, so it is in your best interest to make sure all necessary forms and fees are submitted as early as possible.
 
At the end of the shadow day at Our Lady of Loretto School the family will have an interview with the school’s administration.  This interview will discuss the reasons for applying to Our Lady of Loretto and family expectations of joining the Our Lady of Loretto community.
 
Within two weeks of the shadow date, you will be notified by email of your child’s acceptance (or wait-list status). 

Once you have received notification of acceptance, you will also receive the Registration packet. You will be expected to pay the non-refundable Registration Fee per child. Fees are subject to change.
