Ms. Costanzo grew up in the Bay Area and attended UC Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. In 2005, when her oldest son was in Kindergarten, Ms. Costanzo signed up to be a volunteer art teacher at his Catholic elementary school in Sonoma. She continued to teach art and eventually became a paid art teacher at a different elementary school. In addition to teaching art and running an after school art program, Ms. Costanzo was hired as an instructional aide supporting students in grades K-3rd in math and reading. During her time working as an aide, Ms. Costanzo realized it made sense to pursue her teaching credential. She worked on her multiple subject credential at Sonoma State University. Following the credential program, Ms. Costanzo worked as a full-time learning resource teacher where she provided explicit reading instruction to students in grades 3rd-8th. She also co-taught language arts in a 4th grade classroom. She started at OLL in January of 2024 as the 5th grade teacher and is grateful to be a part of the OLL community! Ms. Costanzo loves building relationships with her students and giving them the support they need to grow, learn and thrive. She is very excited to be the 3rd grade teacher at OLL for the 24-25 school year!
